Valerie & Ron Whitehead,
"Thank you…for making our stay a memorable one. The service, kindness & facilities extended to us surpass all other hotels we have stayed in. Hotel Eden is a very apt name – it certainly is a «Garden of Eden».",

„Excellent holiday at the Hotel Eden“
tobleroneLiverpool, liverpool, Aug 11, 2010
Had a very good holiday at the Hotel Eden, having booked late due to concerns about the noise from the adjacent building site. (The site was totally inactive during our stay).
(…) The staff are excellent, and that includes reception, cleaners, waiters and the animation team. There are activitities each day and entertainment each night (mostly quite good). The pool area is excellent, very large pool, lots of sunbeds, and plenty of shade from the trees around the pool and lawns.
The rooms are well furnished, if a little short on storage for a two week stay. The bathrooms are modern and clean. The beds are very comfortable and there is very little noise at night,
A short stroll from the hotel are lovely coves and bays with a backdrop of pine trees.
There are no sandy beaches, but lots of pebble and rock, with excellent swimming.
Rovinj is a 15-20 min walk along the seafront, or slightly shorter via the road. Taxi to town is 50 kuna.
Rovinj itself is absolutely brilliant, with great views, a fascinating old town, and lots of bars and restaurants. (…) There is an all night night club near the hotel, but we didn't venture there. (…)

We stayed at the hotel Eden Rovinj Croatia, Our ages 40 &41
It was our first time to Croatia and i can honestly say it was brilliant, the hotel was very good in all ways clean, large grounds, friendly staff food very good and yards from the beach, all in all it was brilliant and the area Rovinj well dont want to say to much about it in case every one starts going their but it was awsome, very clean friendly and relaxing.
Believe me we like to have a few beers on holiday but you can be assured theres no lagar louts here yet, everything about this place was awsome and will definately go back next year.
Would recommend hiring bikes we did for four days to see the scenery along the coast excellent way to get about as youll find out when your there.
How weve never been here before is beyond me only 1hr 45min on plane from uk, was going to go back to thailand next year but not now Rovinj is the place for us next year :)
„Aptly named – Eden“

(…) The Eden was really lovely and the building work has stopped until the end of September. The gardens were a delight for a quiet afternoon siesta, with plenty of sunbeds; the surrounding grounds and woods gave an ample variety of opportunities for gentle walks with picturesque coves and views around almost every turn. For cyclists, the landscape was ideal for long easy rides along the coastal or wooded pathways with many places hiring bikes at 20kn. for an hour. The swimming pool is huge and was never crowded.
Rovinj Old Town is an easy 20 minute or so stroll along the flat waterfront and is a maze of interesting narrow, cobbled streets, fascinating to explore, leading uphill to the Basiica. For the more adventurous, a climb up some 188 wooden steps to the top of the 60m. high Bell Tower of the Basilica provides wonderful panoramic views........ and weak knees! Not for the faint-hearted or vertigo sufferers!
The hotel was immaculate - cleanliness and hygiene were paramount. The staff was helpful, pleasant and very efficient without being overbearing or intrusive. Food choice was varied and plentiful with daily changes. Each Monday an Istrian evening with Istrian cuisine and local musicians provided a cultural experience.
Most evenings there was some form of musical entertainment on the outside terrace.
Trips were quite expensive, but one not to be missed is the 'Best of Istria' tour to Pula and inland to Groznjan for a taste of the famous truffles in that area.
There are lots of boat trips on offer and the coastline is dotted with islands. It is a delightful area with a pleasant warm and sunny climate, though thunderstorms can be a quite regular event.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay this year. (…)

In September, my wife and I had a wonderful holiday in the picturesque town of Rovinj. Staying at the Hotel Eden in the National Park with Holiday Options, where we enjoyed coastal walks, cycling, indoor and outdoor swimming, archery, rifle range and sauna.
All available at this well kept and clean hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food exceptional quality and with a great daily selection.
A short walk into the historic town, along the bay and harbour with a choice of restaurants to fit everyone’s pocket on the way, colourful buildings and cobbled streets. A short bus ride from locals towns such as Porec and Pula are well worth the visit.
We did one organised trip to Venice on the Princess of Dubrovnik and one to the beautiful Plitvice waterfalls, both of which we can fully recommend. Take a big memory card because the photographic experiences and opportunities are endless.
“Hotel Eden - stay there, you'll love it!”

Visited Rovinj a few years ago staying at the Park Hotel. We fell in love with resort, it is so beautiful and laid-back, and we persuaded friends to try their first-ever Croatian holiday here. We picked the Hotel Eden after reading the reviews, and we certainly were not disappointed.
The hotel is a little way outside Rovinj itself, but it is an easy 15 minute stroll along the picturesque promenade, and was never a problem, especially as the views across to the harbour are so wonderful.
The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food was good quality and varied both for breakfast and evening meals, which are both served buffet-style.The chef even made the vegetarian member of our party a special main-course on a few nights when no vegetarian option was readily available (Croatians assume that vegetarians can eat fish!)
Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Rooms at the back of the hotel get the sun in the morning, whilst those at the front of the hotel get the sun in the evening, though can be more prone to noise from the evening entertainment if you happen to be sitting on the balcony, though this usually finishes by 11pm.
The hotel grounds are very large, lots of pine trees to shelter under in the sun is too strong, and plenty of sunbeds, so no need to rush down in the morning to reserve them!
The sea shore is reached directly through a gate at the lower end of the hotel garden and brings you straight out onto the coastal promenade. A 5 minute walk to the left of the hotel takes you to a combination of rocky outcrops and small gravelly beaches. The water is crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling. I managed to see about 20 different varieties of fish within 20 metres off shore as well as many types of anemones. Take plastic beach shoes with you, or buy them in resort, as the gravel is quite coarse and the rocks are exceedingly slippery!
Further around the coast path to the right of the hotel are set walks which can either be explored on foot, or by hiring bikes (from the hotel or several outlets on the promenade). These can be hired for an hour or up to a day - I think it was 50 kuna for 1/2 a day, which is ample time to explore.
[…]We visited Porec, and the hilltop villages of Groznyan and Motovun after being recommended a route by our rep. Very pretty old villages with lots of nooks and crannies to explore and fabulous views of the countryside that is known as the "Croatian Tuscany". On the second day we travelled across the peninsula to Labin and Rabac, where there is a lovely coastal walk, before returning to Rovinj via Pula- visit the fabulous amphitheatre and the old town, lots to see.
Sunsets in Croatia are reknowned and Rovinj has some of the best - weather permitting. Take your camera and wait........ you'll get some great photos ans even better memories. […]
The colours are amazing and the atmosphere is magical.
“Very good hotel”
Jonicama, Leeds, Aug 10, 2009
Just returned from a two week holiday at Hotel Eden (last week in July/first in August 2009).
Hotel is exactly what I expected from reading many of the reviews on here.
Rooms are clean and tidy and bathrooms are well fitted out and clean (ie no mould).
Breakfast (served until 10am) was fine with lots of choice.
Main meal was good with lots of choice. It is self service and some of the food did hang around a little, but there was always lots of other choices.
All the staff were very freindly.
Outdoor pool is big and never got that busy. The temperature of the water was fairly high as the weather had been hot (low/mid 30's) for the duration of the holiday.
Most people sunbathed in the gardens. Enough sunbeds and shade for everyone. No fighting over beds/umbrellas. This is a big plus as we were not wanting to spend all day sunbathing. Whenever we went down there was always beds and somewhere to sit/lie.
Rovinj is really pretty and still retains it's charm. Lots of restuarants/cafes/bars. I hope it can resist the temptation to go down market.
We hired a car and travelled all around the Istrain pennisula. Lots to see but Rovinj is the prettiest of the coastal towns. […]

"Lovely hotel, lovely resort, we will return"

After reading some previous reviews I was quite concerned, but after my holiday I wonder if we stayed at the same place! The hotel was wonderful and the views fantastic. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and met some very nice people. There were plenty of sunbeds no matter what time of day you went and lots of shade for those of us who burn. No fighting over an umbrella that covers small parts of both of you. We spent a couple of very peaceful days lying on the beds reading our books.
Rovinj was very pretty, my only complaint is that I could not get tickets to see Michael Bolton in the Pula amphitheatre!! We will return to this lovely hotel again, maybe next year. Witham Essex
"Fantastic hotel, beautiful scenery, friendly staff and great value""

This was our first visit to Croatia and Rovinji and the Hotel Eden were an ideal introduction.
Although we landed to indifferent weather the first views of the town and the hotel were favourable and our expectations throughout our stay were more than realised.
The rooms were very good with a flat screen TV and a free safety deposit box. The shower was great with unlimited hot water and the bed was sublimely comfortable. Cleanliness was superb and the cleaning staff excelled in their duties. This was reflected throughout the hotel with reception staff. management and those working in the restaurant all friendly and eager to please.
The amenities included an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and two saunas which we took advantage of during the unsettled weather. The outdoor pool was certainly cold when we arrived but warmed up as the holiday progressed and there were always ample free sunbeds around the pool and in the grounds. The location of the hotel within forested grounds just added to the appeal.
The food was well cooked, plentiful and with variety. Coffee and hot milk were brought to the breakfast table and renewed whenever required and used crockery removed at an instant. We could not fault the restaurant staff and were always met with a smile.
Rovinji itself was a pleasant walk away and was picture postcard in its beauty. Bars were plentiful and the beer good! We did not sample much of the food due to the ample breakfasts which sustained us till the evening meal. However, there were numerous eating establishments.
Overall a great hotel and a lovely resort. Our first trip to Croatia but it certainly will not be the last.
"An excellent hotel"
CassWestYorkshire, West Yorkshire, Jul 3, 2009
We were rather apprehensive before our holiday due to the building of the new hotel next door, but we needn't have worried. There was some tree-felling at the beginning of our stay but nothing after that. The Eden makes a good first impression as the foyer is really spacious and has a warm comfortable feel to it. Smoking is only allowed on the veranda outside. On arrival we were given a room on the 5th floor as requested, but facing the car park, with a small bathroom and only a shower. We requested a change and were given the choice of a room on the 'parterre' (rooms 1 -11, just half a level up from the foyer, which was brilliant as it looked over the gardens towards the pool, was bigger and nicely decorated, and had a larger bathroom with bath as well as a shower.
We found all the staff to be really efficient, friendly and courteous at all times. The entertainment staff in particular were very good. As the weather in the first week wasn't good, we took advantage of the activities on offer such as archery, shooting, boules, table tennis (3 tables outside and 1 indoors), the indoor pool, salsa for beginners (there was a salsa festival in the town sponsored by the hotel.) and much more. The evening entertainment was very good in parts, particularly the Croatian dancing, but could have been more varied.
[…] There are well-marked cycle -paths from the hotel all along the coast, with lots of little coves to bathe in and cafes to quench your thirst.
The system of having to find your own table at mealtimes is still in operation, and this can be a bit irritating when the hotel is busy. The food is typical hotel buffet standard, not exceptional, but you can always find something you like. We didn't rate the cakes as they look delicious but we thought they were quite bland.
The hotel is located in a truly splendid setting. The pool is one of the largest I've ever swum in, and the grounds are lovely, with plenty of trees for shade, and hundreds of sunbeds all over. If you walk out of the hotel grounds below the pool, there is a little cove and in the evening there are fantastic sunsets to be photographed. There were always numerous free sunbeds. […] All in all, a lovely hotel with a relaxed feel to it.
"Well done Hotel Eden"
Dorey, Chester, Jun 14, 2009
I would like to compliment the Hotel staff for making my stay at this hotel the most relaxing time ever. Hotel room and general areas are very clean. Food was great. We had a room over the nightly entertainment which I am not a fan but still slept through it. The hotel is a lovely walk into Rovinj, cobbled streets (which are lethal if it rains), very nice inexpensive restaurants in the back streets. All in all a very good hotel. Well Done Eden.
