Maistra Opens the First All-Suite Hotel in Croatia

This year Maistra opened the first Croatian all-suite hotel within the Hotel Istra complex, conceptually supplementing the extensive tourist offer on the island of St. Andrew. Maistra’s 30-million kuna investment yielded a high-end property with 32 luxurious suites..

With the opening of the first all-suite hotel in Croatia Maistra continues its large-scale investment cycle and further expands its tourist portfolio by offering additional upscale contents, products and services.
The newest hotel, Maistra’s 4 million Euros investment, features 32 modern, spacious and excellently appointed suites with a floor area ranging from 30 to 107 square meters.
The hotel was designed by a prominent Croatian architect, Marijan Hržić, Ph.D., who also designed the sports and commercial complex Cibona, Eurotower business tower, Adris Gallery, and many other important works of Croatian architecture.

"The continuous cooperation of architects, artists and designers, who strove to envision and create the structural form and all of its details by achieving a synergy of natural materials and artistic expressions, inspired by the spirit of the location and its surroundings truly succeeded in producing a special and authentic structure. Each room was specially designed as an entirety and has a private terrace. That makes the interior harmonious and suggestive, offering the best experience both inside and outside of the hotel. The carefully selected spectrum of colors reflects and attracts light, and the areas reserved for rest and relaxation have special illumination worked out to achieve particular effects”, commented Marian Hržić, the architect.

The all-suite hotel is situated on top of the island of Sv. Andrija, allowing a magnificent view of the sea and the beautiful Rovinj archipelago from each of its suites and hotel premises. Its walls are made entirely of glass, intertwining the exterior with the interior. The architect explained that attention was given to every detail - the entry sequence is oriented toward the tower and park vedute, combining several coloristic themes within each entirety, and causing a repeated occurrence of successful authentic artistic solutions and specially treated surfaces and textures in the concept.
The guests staying at the all-suite hotel may use all amenities within the Hotel Istra – high-end restaurants, a variety of sporting grounds and equipment, the luxurious wellness centre Otok (eng. Island), conference rooms, etc.

With the opening of Hotel Istra in 2006 St. Andrews became a prestigious tourist resort and the new all-suite accommodations now give this island a refreshing quality. The investment cycle planned for Hotel Istra will be completed after the interior restoration of Hütterott Castle, which will be done in cooperation with the conservators-restorers from the Ministry of Culture, and the refurbishment of the hospitality establishment on the island of Maškin.
