Maistra’s Amarin Hotel welcomes its first guests

Maistra’s Amarin Family Hotel has proudly welcomed its first guests. With an injection of 300 million kuna, the new hotel is the most significant investment in the tourism sector in Istria this year. It is also an investment that confirms once more the commitment of the Adris and Maistra companies to the development of high-quality tourism, and the enhancement of the reputation of the town of Rovinj as a destination.

The hotel is located on the northwest side of the town of Rovinj, and is only a few metres from the coast. It has 280 accommodation units to offer with a view of the sea and the Old Town of Rovinj, and can host up to 1,000 guests. The larger part of the offer is focused on families with children. Most of the rooms are family rooms, i.e. double bedrooms that are connected with doors, which makes the communication of guests with children much easier, while also allowing privacy. In addition to numerous playgrounds and play areas created for different age groups, our small and adult guests are welcome to use the seven indoor and outdoor pools, wellness and spa zones covering an area of 1,500 m2, six restaurants with special kids’ menus for our youngest visitors, and many other features which make the hotel unique in this area.

Construction work began in September last year with the demolition of the old hotel and Valdaliso Camp. STUDIO UP and many teams, including Davor Gamulin, who was in charge of spatial graphics, signalisation and sound installations in totems, collaborated on this project. Nenad Vukušić was hired for the work on text signalisation, Numen/For Use created the installation in the lobby of the hotel, Ksenija Jurčić Diminić was in charge of horticultural graphics and the Kamgrad company was hired for the construction work.

It is also worth mentioning, that the Adris company has invested 3 million kuna in the tourism sector of its business operation. The total annual investment this year in the tourism sector of Adris’ business operation amounts to more than 400 million kuna, and in the next three-year period, the company will invest another 1.6 billion kuna.
